2013 Nissan 200SX Concept

Electric cars is growing in the global automotive world. Nissan is now trying to bring the Nissan 200SX electric car to compete with the Mazda MX-5. Actually, this project has been carried out since 2008. Nissan 200SX model to be one part of the Nissan to launch 52 variants in 2016.

The original project for Nissan 200SX take 370Z platform, using a 1.6-liter turbo that is installed from the Juke. Some parts such as car chassis is new stuff. This is the result of Nissan with Daimler cooperation to supply platforms to accommodate medium-size car from a four-cylinder to V8. This new platform can also be used to replace the 370Z and become the next GT-R. Furthermore, the new platform will be used for new Infiniti G sports car.

Nissan still interested in developing an electric sports car. As in ESFLOW concept car, which exhibited last March at the Geneva Motor Show. According to the news, Nissan will also get help from Lotus Engineering in order to design the cars handling. Lotus also can help the manufacturing process by providing new, more lightweight construction. Nissan 200SX will be present in 2013 at a price of around £20,000.
